Who we are:
A group of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and straight
ally identified students, staff and faculty trained to represent the
diversity of the UCSD LGBT community to a variety of groups and
organizations interested in providing education regarding LGBT
issues.
What we do:
We offer three types of panels that help dispel stereotypes and
offer an open, frank dialogue about issues related to the LGBT
community.
The Traditional Panel
The most basic is a "Traditional Panel" of 3-5 panelists who
introduce themselves and answer questions about LGBT issues
and experiences. This panel is very informative and is excellent
for large and small groups.
I Have Gay Friends
Our newest panel, "I Have Gay Friends" engages a handful of
participants and panelists for an informal, personal conversation.
Panelists rotate through each group of participants, exposing
participants to a variety of LGBT and Ally community members.
Both the traditional panel and "I Have Gay Friends" are ideal for
groups such as academic and service departments, student organizations,
residential halls, and classroom groups.
Queer Inquiry: An Identity Game Show
This game show-like program features a panel of LGBT and Ally identified people. The panelists answer any questions except those that would directly reveal their sexual orientation and gender identity. Afterwards, the panelists reveal their true orientation and gender identity and answer questions about their experiences, both on campus and in their personal lives. This panel is excellent for groups such as student organizations, residential halls, and classroom groups.
