Scholarships

The LGBT Undergraduate Scholarship Program encourages gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender UCSD students to apply for the six scholarships made possible by generous contributions from many people, including Chris Arrott, Michael Marx and Donald Marshall, Russ Ty, and from funds in memory of Tracee Parsons and Stephen P. L'Italien, Jr. The objective of the undergraduate scholarship program is to recognize and encourage academic excellence and to offer financial support to meritorious students. All 2008-2009 LGBT Scholarship applications will be submitted to the Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Resource Center (LGBTRC) and are due on April 4, 2008.

Provides individual counseling and workshops for students. Specific counselors on staff have lived experiences with the LGBT community that provides them with specific insight into our community. Certain individuals are excellent resources for our LGBT student community, and contacting the LGBT Resource Center for connections will ensure the best quality service possible. Counseling may be helpful for a range of issues affecting LGBT students, such as adjustment to UCSD; identity expression and transformation; coping with stress, depression, or anxiety; relationship issues; and family concerns. Office of Sexual Harassment Prevention and Policy
Our mission is to educate the entire UCSD community about sexual harassment and gender discrimination and to assist with the prevention and resolution of these issues in a fair and reponisible manner. We promote an environment in which all can work, learn and live in an atmosphere free from all forms of harassment and discrimination. UC Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex Association (UCLGBTIA)

The University of California's system wide organization for LGBTI issues. Membership includes faculty, staff, students and alumni from all campuses. A steering committee composed of representatives from each campus meets quarterly and a conference and general assembly of members is held annually. The association exists for the purpose of supporting and promoting of the University of California community with respect to diverse sexual and/or gender orientations.
