LGBT Resource Center Volunteer Program

As a volunteer, you will be a representative of the UCSD LGBT Resource Center. As a volunteer you develop and sustain visibility, sense of community, and knowledge of diverse queer people in collaboration with the LGBT Resource Center staff. The volunteers are an integral part of keeping the LGBT Resource Center functioning on a daily basis. We work with our volunteers closely to develop volunteer times and opportunities that can be tailored to meet your schedule and skills. Volunteers are highly valued and appreciated and we encourage everyone interested in becoming more involved in our community to volunteer at the LGBT Resource Center.

Volunteer Opportunities

• Work the front desk - greet visitors, give tours, and answer question about the space.
• Assist the LGBT Resource Center Interns with projects and programs.
• Help at the LGBT Resource center Signature Events - such as Q-Camp, Out & Proud Week, and Rainbow Graduation.
• Table at events and fairs for the LGBT Resource Center.
• Assist in maintaining the Resource Center and the space for the LGBT Resource Center.
• Create Your Own Volunteer Project!
• And many, other options tailored to your skills and availability.

To become an official volunteer all you need to do is attend one of the quarterly volunteer orientations at the LGBT Resource Center. If you are interested in interning for the LGBT Resource Center, this is a great way to get to know the community and the space.
